Carlyle: Kiefer's fantastic

The award-winning Scottish actor teams up with Kiefer Sutherland, the show's star Jack Bauer, in 24: Redemption, a two-hour TV movie which bridges the gap between seasons six and seven of the political drama.
"The only one I know that well is the first one," he said.
"I thought it was terrific. It raised the bar for a lot of television to come, to be honest, in the production values. I've enjoyed it through the years, it's difficult to keep up."
Robert revealed that he's always had his eye on appearing on the show.
"There were a series of factors that led to this. Kiefer and I made a movie together, ten years ago," he admitted.
"We got on very well, and there was always a charge. We always kept in touch. He was reading the first two hours of 24 when we made this movie together, and he said, 'I'm going to have you do this'. Ten years later, here we are.
"I was very flattered when they asked me. There was some talk of me doing something previously on it, but it never got anywhere past the agent stage."
24 Redemption will be shown on November 24 at 10pm, Sky1 and Sky1 HD, and will be available on DVD from December 1.
