Police have released these pictures of a man they want to speak to in connection with a serious sexual assault in a Bristol pub at the weekend.

A 24-year-old woman was sexually assaulted in the early hours of Sunday morning at the Walkabout pub in Corn Street.

Police have said at around 12.25am on May 25, the woman spoke with a man at the bar and he walked her to the toilet area, before following her into the women’s toilet and into a cubicle, where he seriously sexually assaulted her.

Investigating officer Det Con Paul Melton, of the Operation Bluestone team based in Bristol, said: “The victim reported the incident to police on Sunday afternoon and we launched an investigation.

“The victim is being fully supported and was taken to the Sexual Assault Referral Centre at The Bridge, where she has been looked after by specially trained professionals.

“In order to progress our enquiries, we are releasing CCTV images of a man we would like to speak to.

“The man in the images is described as white, in his late twenties or early thirties, of slim to medium build, about 5ft 4ins, and he spoke with an accent, possibly French.

“If you know who this man is, please call the Operation Bluestone team via the 24-hour Police Enquiry Centre on 101.”
