Groups in the Cheddar Valley have their chance to get their hands on a slice of £40,000 worth of funding.
Applications for money through the Community Health Fund need to be made to Sedgemoor District Council before January 17, with up to £1,000 available for health-based projects and activities helping to increase physical activity, promote healthy eating or weight management.
There is another £36,000 available as part of the council’s small-grants scheme, which offers up to £500 for individual grants and £2,500 for projects.
Rob Semple, community development project officer for Sedgemoor District Council, said: “We hope this funding can make a real difference to Sedgemoor communities.”
Projects must be based within the boundaries of Sedgemoor.
