A fire has broken out in an extractor fan at a Yeovil factory.

Fire crews said the fire started in the extraction system for the factory machinery at the premises in Boundary Way, Lufton Trading Estate just after 11am this morning.

Crews stripped down the extraction unit, which was moderately damaged by fire, using small tools.

The fire was then put out by fire crews using dry powder and a carbon dioxide extinguisher.

The cause is believed to be accidental.
