All three babies are doing well in the Special Care Baby Unit at Yeovil District Hospital.and the couple are hoping to take them home in two weeks when their feeding has improved and they have put on more weight. The family live in Yeovil.

Mrs Czechowska said: "The care here at the hospital has been brilliant. We have been very well looked after."

Neil Tomlin, associate director of nursing and head of midwifery said: "It has been a really heart-warming story to see these triplets born here at the Yeovil Maternity Unit.

"Apart from a few days separation the triplets have been able to be together as a family here in Yeovil making life for mum and dad a little easier.

"We hope that they continue to grow at their current rate and are able to go home within the next few weeks.

"Our Special Care baby Unit team have managed to support mum and dad really well despite the quite cramped conditions which is why we are looking to improve the environment for all our families in the future. "
