Yeovil Town assistant boss Terry Skiverton has been linked to the Wycombe Wanderers managerial hotseat by a national newspaper.
Tabloid The People On Sunday yesterday speculated that the Glovers' stalwart had "thrown his hat into the ring" to replace Gary Waddock at the npower League Two club.
Wanderers are currently without a manager after Waddock was sacked at the end of the last month, with midfielder Gareth Ainsworth appointed caretaker boss.
The veteran player told reporters after Saturday's 3-0 defeat to Dagenham and Redbridge that he wanted the role on a full-time basis, while bookmakers last week stopped taking wagers on outsider Keith Scott getting the job
Skiverton - who stepped down to become Gary Johnson's number two in January after almost three years in charge - spent a ten-game loan spell at Adams Park before joining Yeovil in 1999.
The former Chelsea defender made more than 380 appearances for the Glovers, calling time on his playing career shortly after replacing Russell Slade as manager in February 2009.
