The victim of an attempted rape in Weston-super-Mare has spoken of the “huge effect” it has had on her life.
The woman was attacked as she walked along the cycle track between Searle Crescent and Hutton Moor Road at 6am on June 17.
In a new appeal for information about the attacker, she said: “I have trouble sleeping, I don’t trust people anymore and I’m still receiving counselling to come to terms with the trauma of what had happened.”
The woman revealed that after dragging her into some bushes, where he attempted to rape her, the attacker had a change of mind and apologised, saying he had split up with his girlfriend after a row.
Anyone who believes they know the man should call police on 101.
