Woman with neck injury cut free from car after crash near Wellington

A woman was taken to hospital with a neck injury after being cut free from a car following a crash near Wellington this morning.

A car and a lorry were in collision at Nicholshayne at around 9.30am today.

Fire crews from Wellington and Cullompton were joined at the scene by police and ambulance staff.

A Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service spokesman confirmed the injured woman was not trapped in her vehicle, but that rescue teams had to remove the back seat of the car to remove her safely.
