Police are appealing for witnesses to a drain pipe theft in Henstridge

POLICE are appealing for witnesses to the theft of a drain pipe in Henstridge.

PCSO Mandy Forsey, of Wincanton Police, said the cast iron implement was stolen at some point during last week from a property on the High Street.

The drain pipe is seven to eight feet long, black, old and heavy.

She said: “This theft has upset the owner, please be aware if you are offered this item.

“If you have any information in regard to these crimes or others, we ask you to get in contact with us.

“This behaviour will not be tolerated and we are hoping for the assistance of the local community.

“We are keen to hear from anyone who may have seen or heard anything suspicious at this time.”

Anyone with information should call Avon and Somerset Police on 101.
