Welsh partnerships on disease prevention

The Welsh government has launched proposals to try to improve animal health and welfare in Wales. The 10-year framework, which will succeed the current Great Britain Animal Health and Welfare Strategy, aims to improve disease monitoring. Wales' farm minister Alun Davies said high standards of animal health and welfare inevitably meant less risk to human health. Chief veterinary officer for Wales Christianne Glossop said the Government was keen to work with industry and other partners to collect, share and use data to agree priorities and identify solutions.
