Wednesday, February 27, 2013
There might have been a lull but campaigners are still stoked for a fight for their countryside.
The next chapter in National Grid’s intention to connect Hinkley Point C to Avonmouth via pylons is in six months time.
Wells MP Tessa Munt met with campaigners opposed to this on the weekend.
She said: “The next big date for the campaign is September 3 when everyone will be able to comment on the planning application National Grid will make.

“In the meantime I am continuing to press the Treasury, Department for Energy and Climate Change and Department for Communities and Local Government to do all they can to help stop these unnecessary pylons scaring our beautiful Somerset.”
