There might have been a lull but campaigners are still stoked for a fight for their countryside.

The next chapter in National Grid’s intention to connect Hinkley Point C to Avonmouth via pylons is in six months time.

Wells MP Tessa Munt met with campaigners opposed to this on the weekend.

She said: “The next big date for the campaign is September 3 when everyone will be able to comment on the planning application National Grid will make.
