Thoughtless parking and dangerous speeding are causing nightmares in Castle Cary.
But a new community scheme could help - if people come forward to lend a hand.
Residents identified which issues are making their lives a misery at the town's PACT meeting.
Top priorities for action included parking and obstruction on Woodcock Street - particularly from people using the cash machine.
Speeding vehicles on the on the A371 and parking along South Cary Lane, all need looking at too, according to the residents.
Volunteers are being sought to help set up a Community Speed Watch scheme to help tackle the speeding issue.
Anyone interested in volunteering should ring 07824600330 or email either charlie.allen@avonandsomerset.police.uk or hayley.barber@avonandsomerset.police.uk.

Always ' volunteers ' isn't it? There are the Government paying themselves £1k to £3k a week and then they ask for ' volunteers ' to take up the slack. Now add these volunteers to the many 1,000s already doing what should be ' paid employment ' and you have a socially unequal society. Great!
