A treasure trove of vintage clothes stored in the attic of a Dorset house for nearly a century is to go under the hammer in the county.
The time-capsule pieces, stored in trunks, recall the world evoked by the hit television drama Downton Abbey.
They include early 20th century military dress uniforms, dresses from the 1920s through to the 1960s, children's clothing, and nannies uniforms from the 1950s.
They will feature in Duke's of Dorchester's annual Vintage Clothing Auction, which will be held at the Grove Saleroom in Dorchester on October 14.
Deborah Doyle of Dukes's said yesterday: "If vintage is your passion then this collection is well worth viewing, there certainly will be something for everyone." Duke's is accepting further items of clothes and or accessories for the sale.
