Identical twin sisters who work together and live next door to each other have been wearing exactly same the outfits every day – for 14 years.
Fashion-conscious Kathy Heffernan and Rosey Coles, 60, dress the same at work, while shopping, on holiday, during nights out – and even in bed.
They used to dress alike as teenagers but the habit ended when they got married and moved apart.
Remarkably, they both became single again in 2000 and decided to move closer together and later even moved in next door.
But the sisters then started dressing exactly the same whenever they left their homes.
For the last two years they have lived side-by-side in Aldershot, Hampshire, where they work together with their own joint cleaning business.
They go shopping together and love dancing at a local rock and roll club – in matching outfits.
And they always go on holiday together – packing identically matching suitcases.
Kathy and Rosey say they love the attention their matching outfits get and often feel like celebrities when people regularly ask them for a photograph.
The inseparable duo – who even have identical nightdresses and shoes – plan to continue wearing their matching outfits for the rest of their lives.
Rosey said: "When we are on our own separately, people don't take notice of us. But when there are two of us, it is like a magnet.
"It makes me feel like a celebrity a bit, I think I know how they feel a little bit now."
Kathy added: "To be honest it doesn't seem like anything different or unusual to us.
"We've always been close even when we weren't together. I suppose it is just a twin thing."
The twins were not dressed alike as children but started picking identical outfits when they were 13.
Rosey got married in 1974 and her sister followed suit three years later and they stopped dressing the same.
Kathy moved to Birmingham and then Wales but when both of their marriages ended in the same year they returned to old habits.
Kathy, a mum-of-one, said: "We both became single and we started to spend a lot more time together."
Mum-of-two Rosey, who has five grandchildren added: "We just got close again. It just happened sort of automatically.
"We both like the same, and we just sort of did it. We had always been close but we gelled again. It made us feel very close again."
The pair – who spend around £150 per month on clothes – go food and clothes shopping together and even have the same doctor and dentist. They discuss what they are going to wear before they leave the house and insist they never have arguments because they have the same style.
"The reaction is very good actually, and we get lots of nice remarks," said Rosey.
"People always say it is unusual to see twins that are our age dressing the same.
"We like speaking to people and are very sociable, so we like it when people come and speak to us about it.
"People will very often ask if they can take our photograph.
"We do sometimes get a bit of negativity here and there, but I think that is just jealousy and 99 per cent of the time it is all positive."
Rosey said their glamorous matching outfits often mean they are mistaken as the cabaret act on their favourite cruise holidays.
She added: "We go on cruises and we take everything the same and wear the same every night of course. "People have asked us if we are the cabaret act, because we are dressed the same and like to look nice."
She added: "We'll do it forever, as long as we can, body willing. We just enjoy it."
The sisters are hoping their identical styling will see them become a double act, and are currently auditioning for a number of TV programmes.
