Taunton Town hung on after being four goals up to beat one of only two teams below them in Division One South & West of the Evo-Stik Southern League last night.

The Somerset side appeared to be coasting to victory as Carl Cliff-Brown (18), James Beasley (39), Rodney Marsh (47) and Owen Irish (51) put the home side well on top against Winchester City.

However, City hit back with strikes by James Taylor (55), Adam Conway (62) and Clive Mokoni (72) to produce an exciting finish, but Taunton hung on to win 4-3.

Elsewhere in Division One South & West, Bishop’s Cleeve conceded twice in the last ten minutes to lose 2-1 at home to North Leigh.

In the Premier Division, Frome lost 3-0 at home to St Albans.
