Taunton Titans will field a strong side for their Renault Somerset Cup tie away to Old Redcliffians today.

But Titans will also include some of their fringe players in their squad for this first round tie.

“It will give us an opportunity to have a look at them,” said Titans’ player-coach Tony Yapp.

With Titans’ home game against Hartpury College in National Two South called off last Saturday, the Somerset club have been able to take a well-earned break from a hectic season.

Titans’ vice-captain Brett Harvey is on the mend after having an operation for a ruptured bicep.

Wellington, who beat Wiveliscombe 27-0 on Boxing Day, will be back in action today when they play away to Hornets in the first round of the Renault Somerset Cup.
