Weston-super-Mare boss Craig Laird has further bolstered his injury-hit squad by signing giant centre-back Immanuel Parry on loan from Stoke City.
Recruited to plug the gap created by a long-term injury to Matt Villis, former Millwall trainee Parry will go straight into the Seagulls’ squad for tomorrow’s second qualifying round tie at Frome.
Laird said: “Matt Villis is a really key player for us and losing him is a blow.
“Centre-back is an important position and we felt we needed strengthening there while Matt recovers. Immanuel had already been out on loan at Nuneaton this season, was available and fitted the bill.
“He is a member of Stoke’s development squad and manager Tony Pulis felt it would benefit him to go out and get some competitive first team football.”
