Somerset Rebels rider Alex Davies scored a paid maximum to help Young Australia claim victory over Great Britain in an international match at Leicester last night.

Included in Davies' five rides were heat wins over Elite League regulars Lewis Bridger and Josh Auty, and he also conbined with Nick Morris to register a 5-1 win for the Aussies in a heat four which also contained Ben Barker.

Davies' Rebels team mate Kyle Newman was in Barker's Team GB side and contributed two points from three rides, but Australia were victorious 54-42.

The Rebels now turn their attentions to the Oaktree Arena tonight, when they host Newcastle Diamonds in the eagerly-awaited first leg of their League Cup semi-final.

The home side will have a full complement of fit riders.

All adults and concessions paying at the turnstiles tonight will receive a discount voucher, which can be used at the Rebels' first home group match in the play-offs - provisionally scheduled for Friday, September 28.
