A severe weather warning has been issued for Somerset as another wave of heavy rain is forecast to sweep over the region tonight.
The Met Office's yellow warning for heavy rain is expected to remain in place for 48 hours throughout tomorrow and Saturday.
A Met Office spokesman has warned the public to "be aware of the risk of localised flooding" due to a forecast of wet and windy weather, accompanied by periods of persistent heavy rain.
Patchy rain is expected to arrive in Somerset this afternoon, but will become heavier and more persistent moving into the evening.
The Met Office's yellow warning is currently in place from midnight tonight until 11.59pm on Saturday.
The Environment Agency will be monitoring river water levels during the spell of bad weather.
There are no flood alerts or warnings issued for the South West yet, but the Agency currently has 12 alerts and two warnings in place nationwide.
