There aren’t many holidays that tick all of the boxes for every style of traveller. Yet whether you’re looking for romance, holiday entertainment or a group getaway – the chances are you’ll find the right break for you on board a cruise ship. While some cruise ships are tailored to offer a boutique experience for a particular audience, the massive Oasis of the Seas caters to just about everyone. Here’s a look at what you can expect from a holiday on board.

What to expect

One of the newest, biggest and most anticipated ships ever made by Royal Caribbean International, the Oasis of the Seas has more than lived up to the hype surrounding its release. The ship is packed full of brand new services and entertainment features, meaning even the most experienced cruise holiday-goer will find something of interest. A great example is the first ever Boardwalk area, featuring a brightly coloured carousel and the new AquaTheater which showcases spectacular high diving acrobatic shows. Best of all, with the range of cruise deals available it doesn’t need to cost you an arm and a leg to get on board.

Activity lovers

This isn’t your average sun lounge by day, cocktail bar by night cruise ship. Whilst there’s no shortage of both of those things, if you are looking for that little bit extra then the Oasis of the Seas will not disappoint. Some of the activities to keep an eye out for include a ride on the zipline, rock climbing facilities and an on-board surf simulator.

Anyone looking to keep in shape can make the most of the first class gym equipment or relax and revive in the improved spa facilities. For those who like their activities at a more leisurely pace, the neighbourhood-themed park is great to take a stroll around.

Entertainment options

Whether you’re looking to keep the kids entertained or seeking some excitement for you and your friends, the Oasis of the Seas can deliver. The entertainment district is diverse and varied, offering everything from fine dining to casual meals. After you grab a bite to eat, why not catch a late night show with everything from theatre, to comedy and disco available?

Children are also well looked after, with countless areas and services dedicated to entertaining the little ones while you take a break. The Dreamworks experience is fun and interactive, with plenty of photo opportunities with characters like Shrek and Fiona. So you can be confident of keeping the kids entertained on board, while you take a much-needed break!
