Regency Stages to showcase Somerset's rallying talent

Regency Stages Rally at the Bath and West Showground, Shepton Mallet on 20th/21st October

This weekend the open expanse of the Bath and West Showground will be reverberating to the pops, bangs and whistles of up to 80 high performance cars competing in the Regency Stages Rally.

Rally fans from across the county and beyond will be flocking to this annual event due to the high calibre local entries it attracts.

Martyn England from Wellington, Somerset leads the field in his Mitsubishi Evo 9 SRS around a tight four miles stage within the grounds of the fabulous Bath & West Showground at 10 am on Saturday morning.  

Other top runners include, Jim Munden (Escort Mk.2) from Bristol, Josh Payton (Escort Mk.2) from East Harptree, Mike Threlfall (Mitsubishi Evo 9) from Taunton and James Hunt (Corsa) from Poole.

Entrants will be competing over a total of 14 stages during the weekend, including two night stages on Saturday evening.  

Performance car enthusiasts' cars will be on display and there will be a running commentary during each stage to keep you up-to-speed with the latest developments in the standings.

The Regency Stages 2012 runs from 10am on Saturday 20th for the Grand Pier Rallysprint with 3 night stages of the main event & from 10am on Sunday 21st for a further 7 stages at the Bath & West Showground, Shepton Mallet, BA4 6QN

Entry prices are charged at £20 per car or £15 if only one occupant.
