Woman charged over ‘hit and run’ on Wells schoolgirl

A 45-YEAR-OLD woman has been charged in connection with a car crash that left a Wells Blue School pupil in hospital.

Beverley Perry has been charged with four offences by the police.

The charges are: driving a motor vehicle when above the alcohol limit, failing to stop after a road accident, causing serious injury by dangerous driving and failing to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle when required.

Sixteen-year-old Rosie Clothier suffered serious injuries in September when she was a hit by a car on New Street.

A spokeswoman from the Blue School said: “We have been informed that Rosie’s recovery is going well.”

Beverley Perry from Radstock has been bailed to South Somerset Magistrates Court on December 19, 2013.
