Police have urged people to be vigilant after two bikes were stolen from a Yeovil home.

The two bikes were taken from a garage in the Grass Royal area overnight between Saturday, September 22 and Sunday, September 23.

Police believe the bikes would have been lifted over a hedge at the rear of the property.

Members of the public, second hand dealers and bicycle shop owners are asked to contact officers should they be offered bikes matching the description of those stolen.

Police are urging bike owners to take precautions to secure them. Crime reduction advice is available from the Avon and Somerset Police website or crime reduction officers at your nearest police station.

Anyone able to help with the police investigation is asked to contact Yeovil police station on the force number 101 or online using the following link http://www.avonandsomerset.police.uk/contact/crime_reporting.
