An armed robbery at a newsagent in Ilminster has prompted a police appeal for witnesses.

A man came into McColls on East Street and threatened staff with a bladed instrument at 7am on Sunday, December 23. Police say he made off with a quantity of cash.

A spokesman said: "We'd now like to speak to the man pictured, who is described as white, under the age of 30 years old and wearing a dark Lonsdale hooded style jumper, dark trousers and black gloves. He wore a mask across his face."

Contact Yeovil CID on 101, quoting crime reference number 137843/12.
