Police are appealing for witnesses following a collision in Charlton Horethorne this morning.

Emergency services were called to the B3145 between Wincanton and Sherborne at 8am and treated the drivers of a silver Peugeot 206 and a blue Nissan for minor injuries.

But officers want to hear from anyone who may have seen a third vehicle involved in the collision.

"We are investigating the circumstances of the collision and enquiries suggest a silver Volvo may have been involved in the collision but not stopped at the scene," said an Avon and Somerset Police spokesman.

"We would like to speak to the driver or anyone who saw a silver Volvo being driven in the area at the time."

Anyone with information should call police on 101.
