Avon and Somerset's most senior policeman is hosting a webchat tomorrow to answer questions on policing.

Chief Constable Colin Port will spend 90 minutes online answering questions about policing issues and responding to local concerns.

Residents from Avon and Somerset are encouraged to log on between 6pm and 7.30pm.

Speaking ahead of the webchat, Mr Port said: "I go out with frontline police officers and staff as often as possible. It is a great opportunity to meet our residents and better understand what they want to see from their local policing.

"Holding a webchat is an extension of this work and will give people across the area the chance to ask questions and raise issues important to them. I always enjoy these events and would encourage anyone interested to log on and take part."

To take part in the chat, log on to www.avonandsomerset.police.uk on Thursday, September 27.

A transcript of the chat will published on the website afterwards.
