Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was headbutted after becoming involved in a dispute in Weston-super-Mare.
The incident occurred on October 18 at around 2.40pm close to the bus stop in the Maltlands. The victim, a 21-year-old woman, was waiting for a bus when she saw a dispute between another man and a woman.
The man was verbally abusive to the woman and spat in her face. The victim tried to take the woman away, but the man followed them. As he caught up with the pair he headbutted the 21-year-old, breaking her nose.
A police spokesman said: “We are particularly interested in speaking to a man who was at the bus stop at the time and the driver of an orange Fiat vehicle who stopped and spoke to the women.”
Anyone with information should call 101.
