POLICE are appealing for information after the window of a pub was smashed in Wincanton.

The front window of The Bear Inn, Market Place, was smashed sometime between 1am and 7am on Saturday, November 3.

It is unknown what implement was used to smash the window.

PCSO Hayley Barber slammed the crime, and has called on the local community to come forward with information.

She said: "This is an absolutely shocking crime, and we are keen to work alongside the community to find those involved."

Anyone with information should contact  police at non-emergency number 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously at 0800 555111.

Alternatively call into Wincanton Police Station, off Churchfields.
