Shooter Peter Wilson topped the London 2012 Olympic Games double trap qualifying stages at the Royal Artillery Barracks today.
Wilson, from Glanvilles Wootton in Dorset, and former Olympic champion Peter Faulds are among ten shooters in the Team GB squad.
And it was 25-year-old Wilson who led the way with a score of 143 out of 150, putting him in the gold medal position with 50 clays left to shoot.
He holds a three-point lead going into this afternoon's final, which gets under way at 3pm.
Two of the USA's favourites have failed to make the final. World No.1 Josh Richmond and reigning Olympic champion Walton Eller both missed out on qualifying.
