The Unveiling, by Senior Aircraftman Adam Fletcher, which won the People's Choice: Image of the Year in this year's RAF Photographic Competition. Each year, photographs are published following the RAF Photographic Competition and the winning military and civilian photographers are named. But, this year there has been an extra dimension; the public have voted for their favourite picture.
Meanwhile the Red Arrows will fly above world leaders – and the Bristol Channel – on Friday during the Nato summit in Wales. They will fly above Cardiff at 8.30am and Newport at 8.45am. The show will be led by an RAF Typhoon flanked by two Polish Mig-29s and finished by the Red Arrows, the RAF’s aerobatic team, which will follow after Voyager, the RAF’s largest and newest aircraft. Other jets will include a Eurofighter and F-16 Falcons.
