Dorothy House Hospice Care officially opens its second outreach centre in Peasedown St. John on Friday.
The centre has been open to the public since the beginning of April with local people from the Peasedown, Radstock and Midsomer Norton areas already dropping in for support and advice.
As well as providing a bright and welcoming place for patients and their carers, the centre also houses a permanent base for the Bath and Mendip nurse specialist teams and will act as a venue for courses and workshops.
Community and outreach manager Wayne de Leeuw, said: "Having a centre at Peasedown will make our services much more accessible for patients on the south side of Bath, and in the Radstock and Midsomer Norton areas.
It will allow people to make several appointments on one day, for example with their specialist nurse, a physio, family support and lymphoedema.
The centre is being officially opened by volunteer Marjorie Coulthard who has been with the hospice movement for more than 35 years.
The centre, on Bath Business Park, will be open from Monday to Friday 10am to 4pm.
