BRILLIANT DAD: Paul Retallick’s funeral will be held in Yeovil tomorrow

A father of three who was found dead in Langport last month will be laid to rest tomorrow.

Yeovil-born Paul Retallick, 35, was found dead on the Old Kelways Estate on the evening of September 16.

A father and son have been charged with his murder. A post-mortem revealed he had died from head injuries.

Mr Retallick’s funeral will take place at Yeovil Crematorium tomorrow from 3.20pm. His family have requested donations, if desired, to be given to Bristol Head Injuries Unit. A collection plate will be passed around at tomorrow’s service.

Mr Retallick is survived by his three children – Sophie, 17, who is pregnant with his first grandchild – Kory, eight, and Layla, two.

Mr Retallick attended Reckleford Community School in Yeovil before his family moved to Croydon but they later returned to the area. Family members have paid tribute to the former resident of Clifton View, Barwick. His mum Penny Plumridge, of Milborne Port, described him as a “brilliant dad”.

Michael McGinty, 55, of Peony Road, Langport, and Lee McGinty, 25, of no fixed address, are jointly accused of the murder of Mr Retallick at Langport, between Saturday, September 15 and Monday, September 17.

On Friday, Michael McGinty had his application for bail refused at Bristol Crown Court and remains in custody.

The two are next due to appear in court on Tuesday, October 16.
