Parents and families can have their say on two more Somerset children's centres this month and proposals that will see them remain open and continue providing their current services.

Meetings have been arranged for Ile Valley (Ilminster) and The Valley (Cheddar) Children's Centres for people to get more information, ask questions and give their views.

For each centre, the council says proposals mean no significant change to the help and support available to parents and families. Current services would continue to be available in the same buildings, though the centres would be de-designated.

People can also suggest extra services that could be delivered as the council improves its Early Help offer for children and families.

The Valley and Ile Valley are among 18 centres initially highlighted for change. Have Your Say meetings have already taken place in 11 centres.

The Have Your Say meetings at The Valley will take place on March 26, 6pm-7.30pm and on March 28, 10am-11.30am.

The meetings at Ile Valley will be from 6pm-7.30pm on March 27 and 10am-11.30am on March 28.

Proposals are being finalised for the remaining five centres: The Villages (Creech St Michael), Bishops Lydeard, Wiveliscombe, Castle Cary and Chilcompton.
