Two men, including the half-brother of a senior Conservative MP, will deny historic sex abuse allegations, a court heard yesterday.
Charles Napier, 67, is accused of one count of inciting a child to commit an act of gross indecency. He is the half-brother of Maldon MP John Whittingdale.
Richard Alston, 69, is accused of five counts of indecent assault and three counts of gross indecency with a child.
The abuse charges date back to the late 1970s at a west London school and concern an alleged victim who was 11 years old at the time.
Napier, of Newland in Sherborne, Dorset, and Alston, of Vinery Road in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, attended a preliminary hearing yesterday. Peter Zinner, prosecuting, told Southwark Crown Court that the defendants intended to plead not guilty to all matters.
