Top class professional darts will return to Somerset twice in 2013 with news that Minehead has been chosen to host a European Tour event.
The town's Butlins resort will host the first of eight £100,000 tournaments from Friday, March 8, to Sunday, March 10.
The Cash Converters Players Championship Finals will also return to the seaside town in 2013, from November 29 to December 1.
This weekend's Players Championship at Butlins is already being hailed as a huge success, with crowds of 4,000 witnessing opening-day thrillers between Steve Beaton and Raymond van Barneveld, and Mervyn King and Terry Jenkins.
Several of the world's top players have praised the atmosphere in the indoor Skyline Pavilion, and the European Tour will make its UK debut there in March.
"The European Tour has been a huge success after being introduced in 2012," said PDC chairman Barry Hearn.
"These events have not only been vital for our leading players but also a great way for new faces in Europe to have the opportunity to play in important tournaments.
"We're delighted not only to be able to increase prize money next year but also to add new venues in the UK, Gibraltar and Germany to take us to eight events."
Package tickets for the first European Tour event will be available to book through www.bigweekends.com/darts.
