Organisers of a dance music festival have promised to pay the repair bill after the two-day event left Castle Park, in Bristol, covered in mud. Around 20,000 revellers attended Love Saves the Day over the weekend and heavy rain on the opening day meant many of the park's popular green spaces were churned up. The park is still closed to the public and many of the areas usually used by sunbathers and picnickers will have to be re-seeded or turfed and are likely to remain out of bounds for a large part of the summer.
