A TEENAGER from Nailsea known for his etiquette expertise is to host a seminar for out-of-work businessmen and women.
William Hanson, aged 19, and etiquette specialists The English Manner will help redundant executives and job hunters rediscover the importance of etiquette, good manners and protocol to distinguish themselves from thousands of others in the same situation later this month.
The one-day seminar in London covers mobile phone etiquette, voice pitch and speed and dress code.
William, a former Clifton College student, who also taught younger pupils the basics of table manners, said: "No-one should notice your manners but if your manners are bad, you will be judged."
The Mercury exclusively reported in August 2008 how William, now a Manchester University student, was drafted in as resident manners expert for Channel 4's Big Brother's Little Brother to comment on housemates' manners – or lack of them – as well as to provide advice and tips for evicted housemates.
Since then he has appeared in a handful of shows on BBC Five Live, talking about his passion for manners and in December filmed a part for Ladette to Lady Australia.
