A man who claims to have watched the Queen’s speech every day for 20 years says he disappointed not to be honoured in the New Year’s Honours list.
Andy Park, 50 - known as Mr Christmas - eats a full festive dinner seven days a week and sits down in front of Her Majesty’s festive message 365 times a year.
But Mr Park, who believed two years of “dedication” would be recognised by the Queen this year, says he has been left deflated by the snub.
He said: “I had high hopes this year that I would finally be honoured. What does a man have to do to get a knighthood?
“I’ve now watched the Queen’s speech more than 7,000 times – you’d think that would be enough but I’m still waiting.”
After celebrating Christmas in 2013, Mr Park, from Melksham in Wiltshire, now believes he has spent more than a million pounds on festivities.
He insists he buys himself, friends and family presents every day, sends a card to his own house every 24 hours, pulls crackers and has a Christmas tree up 365 days a year.
Divorcee Andy started his 24-hour-a-day Christmas odyssey 20 years ago in 1993 - and says this year has seen him rack up a total bill of around £1,200,000.
