The body of a man has been discovered on the beach at Burnham-on-Sea.
Police were called to the seafront in the seaside town at around 10am on Saturday morning after the body was spotted close to the edge of the town's jetty as the tide came in.
Officers sealed off the area and investigated the scene for around an hour before removing the body in a yellow body-bag.
The dead man appeared to have been dressed in sports wear and was tall and stockily built.
His identity is not currently known.
