A seagull which viciously attacked a young woman "could kill someone", the victim has said.
Jessica Miles was walking along Lansdown Road in Cheltenham at around 2am on Saturday morning when a seagull swooped down and attacked her, pecking and clawing at her head.
Fortunately for the 24-year-old, a friend she was with hit the seagull and it retreated, giving them both time to run away.
Ms Miles said: "We were walking home after going out in town and we were just chatting away and then suddenly this big, evil seagull dive bombed me and started pecking and clawing at the top of my head. I was absolutely terrified. I had my hands up to try and protect myself and I was screaming for my friend to help.
"He jumped up and punched the seagull and it backed off a bit, so we just legged it."
