Anyone who thought they had left Deacon Blue behind somewhere around 1992, will need to think again, as the band is currently preparing to tour as part of the celebrations to mark the 25th anniversary of the release of their first album, Raintown.
Following a successful tour last year, this musical saunter around the country will take in 18 cities, including Bristol's Colston Hall on Wednesday, December 11.
This is an opportunity to see the band perform their all time classics such as Real Gone Kid, Dignity, and Chocolate Girl as well as tracks from their new repertoire which includes four A-listed Radio 2 singles from their album The Hipsters.
Frontman Ricky Ross said: "We can't wait to get out on the road, our fans were so supportive of the new record, it's great to hear them singing back the new songs, as well as the older ones of course.
"It makes every show exciting for us, so we're looking forward to seeing you all again this year."
Tickets for the gig start at the unusually specific price of £31.71. For more information, visit the website at www.colstonhall.org or call the box office on 0844 887 1500.
