A road in a quaint Exmoor village has been closed this morning after a lorry got jammed between a house and a churchyard wall.

The heavy goods vehicle became stuck as it attempted to travel around a narrow bend at Sanctuary Lane in Brompton Regis, near Wimbleball Lake.

Police have closed the road in both directions between the junctions for Combeshead Hill and Bryant's Hill.

The lane runs alongside the village's Church of St Mary.
