Little Lily begins life in the fast lane

Baby Lily Rigby's first view of the world was the foot-well of a Vauxhall Vectra when she was dramatically delivered by her dad en route to hospital. Mum Johanna Spear, 35, from Coney Hill, Gloucester, was in the front passenger seat and just half a mile from Gloucestershire Royal Hospital when she shouted 'she's coming'. Former Army medic Shane Rigby, 38, kept calm and leapt from the back seat just as his second-born started to arrive in the congested Barnwood Road. Shane, who also has a four-year-old called Harry, said: 'I jumped from the back seat into the footwell, flicked open the door and supported Lily as she came out'
