A woman had to be rescued from her van by emergency services yesterday afternoon - several hours after being involved in a collision.
The woman had been involved in a crash earlier in the day, but had driven home towards Langport unaware of the severity of her injuries.
Fire control received a call shortly before 3pm from the woman, saying she was unable to get out of her vehicle.
A rescue team removed her from the van using a long board, and she was taken to hospital by ambulance with a suspected back injury.
Police also attended and organised traffic control during the rescue.
