Gremlins Carnival Club has taken the top award at Bridgwater Carnival Concerts.

With its performance Revolution, the Bridgwater club won the prestigious White Hart Cup, which is awarded to the gang and feature gaining the highest number of points during the concert fortnight.

It is the third time in six years that Gremlins CC has won the big prize, and it gives it a lead in the battle for the coveted Hardy Spicer Championship Trophy awarded after the big procession on Saturday, November 3.

British Flag CC were overall runners up.

Every year clubs take part in a two-week run of pre-carnival concerts, which give the public a taste of their spectacle to come. Winners were announced after the final concert on Saturday.

Dave Stokes, publicity officer for Bridgwater Guy Fawkes Carnival Committee, said: “It is great to know that we have so many talented individuals in Bridgwater.”
