Gary Johnson wants to make his third loan signing in as many weeks and add to his Yeovil Town squad before Saturday's trip to Preston North End.

The Glovers have lost four npower League One clashes in a row, the latest coming against Sheffield United at the weekend.

Korey Smith arrived from Norwich City ahead of the 1-0 defeat at MK Dons, while Bristol City's Joe Edwards returned to Huish Park on Friday.

However, Rohan Ince is receiving treatment on his ankle at parent club Chelsea and Archange Nkumu's current deal has expired.

Manager Johnson said Ince could be recalled by the Premier League giants if necessary, while he will speak to Nkumu about his future this week.

"Rohan is likely to be out until Chelsea feel," said Johnson. "They have sent him back twice and twice he has had a problem with his ankle.

"I won't be thinking about him for a little while but I will be having a chat with Chelsea to see what they want to do.

"Someone has got to get over their injury and that is why I brought Joe in for an extra number and I now have to bring another in this week for an extra number.

"Chelsea have got 28-day recall anyway and if it's an injury they have to look after there is that provision."

The boss added that Edwards could stay with the Glovers for longer than his initial month, revealing he wanted to keep him following his first spell at the start of the year.

Asked if City would be willing to extending the loan, Johnson said: "I would have thought so, obviously Bristol City will quite rightly keep the (recall) option open from 28 days.

"They called him back just as he was hitting a run of form but he had to go back, he belongs to them.

"City are willing to give him to us for three months but with 28 days at a time. If they have a major injury then at least after 28 days they have that option to bring him back."
