MATCH REPORT: Frome Town Ladies 3, Stoke Lane Athletic 0

Frome Town Ladies got back to winning ways with a 3-0 home victory over Stoke Lane Athletic.

The home side started well, dominating territory and creating several chances.

Their efforts appeared to be going unrewarded until a well-placed 20-yard strike from Lucy Dinham broke the deadlock.

After the break, Frome looked to push on and extend their lead, with a long ball from Dinham setting up Steph Isaacson for the second goal.

With the team’s confidence boosted, Frome looked much more comfortable but Stoke began to put pressure on the home defence and keeper Hannah Christer had to make some great saves.

Frome made sure of the points when a fortunate deflection enabled Naomi Nash to lob the goalkeeper and score Frome’s third goal.

Town will hope to pick up another victory when they play the return match at Stoke on Sunday.

Frome currently lie eighth in the 11-team Premier Division of the South West Women's League, with Athletic two places and four points behind them.
