Everton centre-back Shane Duffy's form for Yeovil Town this season has earned him his first call-up to the full Republic of Ireland squad.
The talented 22-year-old, a former under-21 captain, has been named in the provisional 32-man party for his country's summer friendly matches with Turkey, Italy, Costa Rica and Portugal.
Duffy is one of two uncapped players involved, after being an integral part of the Glovers' defence during a loan spell that started last September.
Ireland face Turkey at the Aviva Stadium on Sunday, May 25 and then head for London to play Italy at Craven Cottage on Saturday, May 31.
World Cup finalists Costa Rica provide the opposition at the PPL Stadium in Philadelphia on Friday, June 6, and they meet Portugal four days later at the Metlife Stadium in New Jersey.
