Dog rescued by firefighters at Pibsbury, near Langport

FIREFIGHTERS came to the aid of a dog today after it got stuck in mud near Huish Episcopi.
The cross breed Doberman dog got its hind legs stuck in mud in a ditch filled with water off the A372, at Pibsbury.
A fire engine from Martock and a specialist rescue team from Bridgwater attended the incident at around 10.45am this morning.
They freed the animal using rescue lines and a ladder.
The dog was uninjured and was returned to its owner.
