A woman suffered severe bruising on her bottom and has been left housebound – after slipping on dog mess on a pavement.
Lorraine Card, 54, was going to visit her elderly mother in hospital on February 28 when she slid on the waste and landed on her hip.
She was taken to hospital by paramedics who administered morphine to help her cope with the pain of pulling every muscle and ligament in her leg.
The domestic helper, who has been forced to take time off work, is now struggling to pay bills.
Ms Card, of Yeovil, Somerset, wants dog owners know how serious the consequences of letting pets foul pavements and roads can be.
"If it had been an older person they may not have survived – that's the scary thing," she said. "People need to realise what can happen if they don't pick it up."
